The Cybercab and the RoboVan! Both of these vehicles are a step up from the classic self-drive Tesla. They are both a taxi and a van that could provide public transportation services without the need for a driver. Thanks to the fully automated system.

However, even though the event was about the launch of these products, something else stole the spotlight. Something about which Elon briefly mentioned his plans in 2021, and now it's an upcoming reality. The Optimus Gen 2!

Yes! Our “I, Robot” dreams have finally come to a reality. What once was jokes upon mere mention has now become a soon-to-be reality. These robots were everywhere during the event! Pouring drinks, passing jokes, firing up the dance floor, and even passing out goodie bags to feel the guest's welcome.

Everyone was surprised to see how human-like the Optimus Gen 2 was. However, many might not realize that it was actually being controlled by a human at that moment. Few were even actors dressed up as the robot! And it makes complete sense why Elon would do that. He won't want any robotic malfunctions on his big launch, ruining the entirety of his plans.

While these robots are not fully set up for an official launch, they are a mere representation of what to expect in the future. Elon did briefly mention that one could purchase the Optimus Gen 2 by 2027. With a whopping price of $20,000 - $30,000, these robots can handle the basic household chores. From cleaning, watering plants, babysitting, walking the dog, and more, these robots will be a good handy tool to assist you in your daily tasks.

But is there a chance this robot could impact how a traditional office system works? Will the launch of Elon Musk’s Optimus Robot have an impact on coworking spaces?

Well, the answer is both yes and no! Yes, because established businesses can purchase these robots to do basic tasks like cleaning, restocking supplies, managing bookings, preparing meeting rooms, and even delivering items like coffee or documents. And no, because as of 2024, it won't be cost-effective to hire such a robotic assistant.

However, Elon has turned the concept into a reality in the blink of a few years. Showcasing how one day Optimus will not only get better but also be more affordable for local coworking spaces to invest in.

The upgraded versions may also assist community managers with more heavy-duty tasks. This could include helping with AV setup and ensuring smooth, timely meetings for clients. They could also reduce labor costs and lower operational expenses. While also providing customized services, such as adjusting desk setups and managing lighting preferences. Other personalized adjustments could also be made, making cash flow more profitable in the long run for businesses of all sizes.

As of now, coworking spaces around the globe are running smoothly without the need for additional assistance. They have been helping freelancers, digital nomads, and businesses flourish by providing a personal setting where one can work more productively and efficiently.

You can even find such shared office spaces at The Coworking Space, a platform where you can filter out a specific space that fits your needs. Until Elon finally launches the Optimus Gen 2, we can only wonder what he has planned next. What other AI innovations does he have up his sleeve that would leave a lasting impact on coworking spaces?
