The Benison began as a dream – a dream to open an event center. After stumbling upon The Historic Home Federal Bank, located at 100 South Third Street in downtown Hamilton, Ohio - the owners fell in love with the details of the history, architecture, and location. It was the perfect setting in which to host parties, weddings, and meetings. In envisioning the space, they chose to highlight the vaulted ceilings and exquisite details of the old bank while adding bathrooms, opening up the spaces, and renovating flooring. The name "Benison" is derived from the Latin word benedictio which means 'to bless.' The word Benison has been traced back to the 14th century as a spoken blessing. It fits the dream the owners have for this event and coworking
