A few months after The Rail opened its doors our nation was hit by the COVID-19 global pandemic. For everyone's safety and in order to adhere to the rules and standards set by the CDC and the RI Department of Health we decided to remain closed until July of 2020. At which time, we opened with very limited capacity. Now, as we enter the fall, we understand there are different medical conditions that we must contend with (ie. colds, flu, allergies, etc.). As a result, we have continued to keep The Rail open to our Engineer, Station and Conductor members (those with 24-hour access), but closed to our crew members. We still do not have staff on-site and require that everyone wears a mask in common areas. Unfortunately, we are not providing Day
